Yesterday, our help desk students partnered with Mrs. Ahmed-Jussaume’s 2st Century skill class for an exciting long block of learning. We observed and scored a debate on digital citizenship and also participated in our FIRST twitter digcit edchat!
Our edchat, titled #nipmucdigcit, touched on the following three areas of digital citizenship:
Etiquette/Digital Responsibility: How do technology leaders maximize a culture of high technology use while minimizing poor technology etiquette? How do school leaders focus on the positive side of technology integration without over-emphasizing rules and regulations?
Communication: What form of communication is most appropriate under any given set of circumstances?
Digital Access: How do technology leaders ensure that everyone has equal access to technology regardless of gender, race, age, ethnicity, and physical or mental challenges?
